Overview

Accounting combines technical mastery, advanced corporate governance, and empirical research to resolve complex financial reporting and auditing issues facing contemporary societies. In this honours year, you will design and implement a major independent research project, applying qualitative or quantitative methodologies to real-world corporate issues. The curriculum refines your capacity to critically challenge accounting literature, communicate findings to expert audiences, and practise the highly responsible use of digital tools and AI for data synthesis. This rigorous pathway prepares you for corporate strategy roles, advisory roles within various business structures including regulatory bodies, and global doctoral research.
