Overview
Art history and theory (AHT) is the study of fine art and visual culture. It critically interrogates the forms, meanings, mediums, and materials of historical and contemporary works of art across cultures, alongside relevant histories and theories attached to them. The art history and theory minor will equip you with the analytical skills and knowledge to understand the social, political and philosophical contexts of works of art and visual culture, from Australian, contemporary and international art.
