Overview

A business law minor develops foundational knowledge of how legal rules shape the conduct of (and decision-making in) business organisations in Australia and abroad. You will examine how common law rules and legislation apply to business problems, scenarios, and decision-making. Within this minor, you will complement your other studies in developing critical thinking and problem solving skills by applying business and commercial law knowledge, and by applying disciplinary knowledge in related areas of law. You will also gain an understanding of how and why AI and other digital tools can be employed responsibly in business law contexts. By studying a business law minor, you will gain a better appreciation of how the real-world conduct of business is affected by legal considerations, and equip themselves for better business decision-making.
