Overview

Economics and business strategy introduces the economic reasoning and strategic tools needed to understand how individuals, firms, governments and economies make decisions in complex business environments. You will explore how markets work, how firms compete, how economic conditions such as growth, inflation and unemployment shape strategy, and how evidence can inform business and policy decisions. The minor develops discipline knowledge, critical thinking, problem-solving, research, communication and teamwork skills, while encouraging globally aware, socially responsible and inclusive decision-making. It provides a flexible foundation for contributing analytical and strategic insights to multidisciplinary project teams across consulting, management, policy, regulation and business advisory contexts.
