Overview
Fine art is a studio-based degree with a strong focus on contemporary fine art. Classes based in studio workshops allow you to articulate, develop and engage your ideas as you acquire new skills, techniques and experiences with a variety of materials and mediums. The fine art studio is a shared space for experimentation, collaboration and learning.
The fine art minor will allow you to engage with the various technical, material and conceptual methods of fine art. You will gain a solid grounding in creative processes in various media in practical classes based in studio workshops across the Department of Fine Art. An understanding of the historical and contemporary value of fine art will underpin studio workshop processes and impart the critical values of art in society.
