Overview
Mining engineering involves environmentally-safe extraction and processing of natural minerals from the earth. Mining engineers supply critical materials like copper, iron, lithium and gold, that are essential for the modern society and the world’s economy. Automation and digital technologies are modernising the mining industry and transforming mining careers.
Availability
The Mining Engineering minor is only available to students enrolled in the single degree E3001 Bachelor of Engineering (Honours), except those completing the Biomedical engineering, Resources and mining engineering and Software engineering specialisations.
