Double degree courses include all the features of the component degree courses, except that electives may be reduced. 

This course is structured in four parts: Part A. and Part B. focus on Master of Public Policy and Management studies. Part C. and Part D. focus on Master of International Relations studies.

Part A. Core studies - Public Policy and Management

These studies will introduce you to public policy theory and practice at an advanced graduate level. Throughout these studies, you will gain practical knowledge and skills that will provide a solid foundation for the specialist studies units undertaken in the program. 

Part B. Specified elective studies - Public Policy and Management

The focus of these units is to develop your expertise in public policy and management studies. These studies will provide you with the knowledge and skills needed for the capacity to work and communicate across the borders of context or discipline.

Part C. Core studies - International Relations

These studies draw on best practices within the broad realm of international relations practice and research exploring the theoretical, analytical, economic, and security dimensions of global politics.

Part D. Applied studies - International Relations

These studies cover key issues in diplomacy and global political economy, gender, peace and security, global migration, and political violence and counter-terrorism.

The Master of Public Policy and Management builds practical knowledge and essential skills for international careers in policy making and management across the spectrum of public sector activities. This multi-disciplinary course develops understanding of the processes of policy formation, the delivery of policy programs, and the political and structural realities that can impact on decision-making.
