Course structure

Course requirements
You will complete one major from the Bachelor of Business and one major from the Bachelor of Information Technology. Where you have space in your degree you may complete a second major with no more than two units contributing towards both of your chosen majors or towards both a major and the specialisation.

You can enrich your degree to hone your academic and professional skills with a range of Flagship Rich Educational Experiences (FREE), including the Research, Experimentation and Discovery, and the Monash Innovation Guarantee. These flagship rich educational experience units may be credited in place of your replacement units if approved by the faculty.
Business component96 credit points
You must complete 96 credit points, including all of the requirements in Part A and Part B, for the Bachelor of Business.
Note: If you are completing the Accounting major as part of your double degree, please note ECX2953 is required for professional accreditation.
Information Technology component96 credit points
You must complete 96 credit points, including all of the requirements in Part A and Part B, for the Bachelor of Information Technology.

If a unit is used for both IT specified study and a major, you need to complete additional units offered by the faculty of IT to ensure a total of at least 96 credit points of information technology study (any unit starting with code FIT).

If you choose to major in Business information systems then you are exempted from FIT1006 and must replace it with a unit from the major not already completed. This is because you will complete a level 1 statistics unit in the Business side of your degree (ETC1000 or ETF1100).
