Overview

The Graduate Certificate of Business gives you the chance to take your career in a new direction and explore a variety of business areas. You'll broaden your current skill set and have a strong foundation in your preferred discipline; choices include marketing, public sector management, human resources, economics and more.  You can also direct your studies on health economics, by selecting units which focus on health, pharmaceutical and relevant policy delivered by Monash Business School's Centre for Health Economics.

You must complete 24 credit points selected from units within the coursework master's degrees offered by the Faculty of Business and Economics, with at least 18 credit points at level 4 or above.

You are required to consult with the Course Director to ensure that suitable units are selected to achieve the course learning outcomes, taking into consideration your individual personal study objectives and background.

You need to seek advice regarding the selection of units if considering further study in a master's degree. Approval of some specific units may require Course Director approval.

The course consists of four units chosen from the wide range of units offered in the coursework master's degrees offered by the Faculty of Business and Economics.

The course comprises 24 points of study. You complete four units selected from the coursework master's degrees offered by the Faculty of Business and Economics, with at least three units (18 points) at level 4 or above.

Monash minimum: Level A, that is: IELTS (Academic): 6.5 overall (no band lower than 6.0); or Pearson Test of English (Academic): score of 58 overall with no band lower than 50; or TOEFL Internet-based test: score of 79 overall with minimum scores: Writing: 21, Listening: 12, Reading: 13 and Speaking: 18; or Equivalent approved English test
