Overview
The Master of Global Business is a multi-disciplinary program that advances your knowledge of business and the global environment in which it operates. This Master’s program provides you not only with a comprehensive understanding of the dynamic economic, political and social forces that affect and impact upon global business, but also with the skill set required to function and operate in a global environment.
The Master of Global Business is designed to build upon your work experience and your undergraduate credentials by further developing and strengthening your business skills and acumen. This program advances your ability to address the global issues and challenges faced by business and society by improving your ability to critically analyse, problem solve and develop solutions. These skills are further enhanced and developed through an appreciation of the global context in which business operates and how it deals with issues of a geo-political nature, business-government relations, trade and its governance, global supply chain, sustainability, social responsibility and intercultural communication. If you are interested in further research within this domain, the Master of Global Business can also provide a pathway into a higher degree by research.
The Master of Global Business, ultimately looks to produce graduates with a comprehensive and multi-disciplined perspective of global business, that enables them to not only better understand the contemporary global environment in which business operates but just as importantly create and produce innovative solutions for the business, professional, social and public policy communities which they serve.

Part A. Mastery knowledge
The focus of these studies is to develop your knowledge and skills as a critical and creative professional who can apply their understanding and knowledge of the global business and politics environments in order to contribute to solutions that address contemporary global issues
Part B. Electives
The focus of these studies is to contribute to a portfolio of professional development that enables you to expand your knowledge and skills, in the realm of global business, politics, trade and related disciplines.
Master's entry points
Depending on prior qualifications you may receive entry level credit (a form of block credit) which determines your point of entry to the course:
- If you are admitted at entry level 1 you complete 72 credit points, comprising Part A and Part B
- If you are admitted at entry level 2 you complete 48 credit points, comprising Part A
Note: Students eligible for credit for prior studies may elect not to receive the credit and complete one of the higher credit-point options.

Part B. Electives (24 credit points)
You must complete four units (24 credit points) of electives at either level 4 or 5 from units not already completed in Part A, or from the Faculty of Business and Economics or across the University as long as you have met the prerequisites and there are no restrictions on enrolling in the units.

Monash Level A, that is: IELTS (Academic): 6.5 overall (no band lower than 6.0); or Pearson Test of English (Academic): score of 58 overall with no band lower than 50; or TOEFL Internet-based test: score of 79 overall with minimum scores: Writing: 21, Listening: 12, Reading: 13 and Speaking: 18; or Equivalent approved English test
