Course structure

Global Business component48 credit points
You must complete 48 credit points, including all of the requirements in Part A, for the Master of Global Business.
Applied Econometrics component48 credit points
You must complete 48 credit points, including all of the requirements in Part A and Part B, for the Master of Applied Econometrics. Students undertaking the Double degree with Master of Global Business cannot undertake the Research pathway in the Master of Applied Econometrics.

Master of Global Business

The Master of Global Business is structured in two parts, Part A. Mastery knowledge and Part B. Electives. In the double degree course you complete: 

Part A. Mastery knowledge

The focus of these studies is to develop your knowledge and skills as a critical and creative professional who can apply their understanding and knowledge of the global business and politics environments in order to contribute to solutions that address contemporary global issues.

Master of Applied Econometrics

The Master of Applied Econometrics is structured in three parts, Part A. Advanced preparatory, Part B. Mastery knowledge and Part C. Electives. In the double degree course you complete: 

Part A. Advanced preparatory

These studies will introduce you to econometrics at advanced undergraduate and graduate level, and are intended for students whose previous qualification is not in a cognate field.

Part B. Mastery knowledge

These studies will develop your capacity as a critical and creative professional who is able to apply your knowledge of a specialised area to provide discipline based solutions.

Depending upon prior qualifications, students may receive credit for part of the course.

Course progression map

The course progression map provides guidance on unit enrolment for each semester of study.

You must complete 96 points, of which 48 points are from the Master of Global Business (including all the requirements in Part A for the single degree) and 48 points from the Master of Applied Econometrics (including all of the requirements in Part A and Part B for the single degree). Students undertaking the Double degree with Master of Global Business cannot undertake the Research pathway in the Master of Applied Econometrics.

Monash Level A, that is:  IELTS (Academic): 6.5 overall (no band lower than 6.0); or Pearson Test of English (Academic): score of 58 overall with no band lower than 50; or TOEFL Internet-based test: score of 79 overall with minimum scores: Writing: 21, Listening: 12, Reading: 13 and Speaking: 18; or Equivalent approved English test
