Course structure

Global Business component48 credit points
You must complete 48 credit points, including all of the requirements in Part A and Part B, for the Master of Global Business.
Accounting component48 credit points
You must complete 48 credit points, including all of the requirements in Part A, for the Master of Accounting.

Note: Students undertaking the Double degree with Master of Global Business cannot undertake the Research pathway in the Master of Accounting.

Master of Global Business

The Master of Global Business is structured in three parts. Part A. Core studies, Part B. Capstone studies and Part C. Elective studies. In this double degree course you complete: 

Part A. Core studies

The focus of these studies is to develop your knowledge and skills as a critical and creative professional who can apply their understanding and knowledge of the global business and politics environments in order to contribute to solutions that address contemporary global issues

Part B. Capstone studies

These studies are designed to consolidate the knowledge and skills acquired throughout the study of your course.

Master of Accounting

The Master of Accounting is structured in two parts, Part A. Mastery knowledge and Part B. Electives. In this double degree course you complete: 

Part A. Core studies

These units draw on the best and current accounting practice to develop your capacity as a critical professional who is able to apply your knowledge of a specialisation to provide discipline-based solutions in complex commerce environments.

You must complete 96 points, of which 48 points are from the Master of Global Business (including all the requirements in Part A and Part B for the single degree) and 48 points from the Master of Accounting (including all of the requirements in Part A for the single degree). 

Note: Students undertaking the Double degree with Master of Global Business cannot undertake the Research pathway in the Master of Accounting.

Entry requirements

English language

Monash Level A, that is: IELTS (Academic): 6.5 overall (no band lower than 6.0); or Pearson Test of English (Academic): score of 58 overall with no band lower than 50; or TOEFL Internet-based test: score of 79 overall with minimum scores: Writing: 21, Listening: 12, Reading: 13 and Speaking: 18; or Equivalent approved English test.
