The double degree in Master of Business Management and Master of Project Management provides emerging and established professionals with advanced business knowledge combined with the practical skills you’ll need to deliver successful outcomes. The Master of Business Management is an integrated and practical introduction to the practice of business management in a contemporary, dynamic and digital context. In this degree, you will learn how organisations can thrive in the context of digital disruption, transformation and accelerating technological change. Combined with the Master of Project Management where you’ll learn to think creatively, build and sustain productive stakeholder relationships and mitigate risks for successful project outcomes, you’ll be ready for the future. With its part-time and online delivery, you can also fit study around your busy work and family commitments.
In the Master of Business Management, a broad-based business degree, you will develop core business management knowledge and skills, while also gaining the foundation of business leadership knowledge aligned to contemporary employability criteria. As part of the degree, you will also have the opportunity to develop your professional presence and behavioural attributes to equip you for a managerial career and apply the latest thinking and models for implementing transformational change. Ultimately, you will apply all of the skills you have developed by completing industry projects in a sector or business of your choice.
The Master of Project Management integrates the knowledge required to manage major projects and programs across multiple sectors. The course provides foundational knowledge and skills in delivering projects including the organisational and dynamic context of project delivery, learning and planning. You’ll learn how to critically analyse project environments from managing people and stakeholders to communications, culture, and politics, as well as identify adaptive approaches to complex problems and use innovative practices to deliver successful project outcomes. You’ll also gain specialist expertise in the way organisation projects function, to deliver value through your ability to manage complex projects and knowledge and discovering ways to generate innovation in the project management process. You will have the opportunity to work on real-life projects where theory and practice are applied to problems situated in local and international, corporate, government and social contexts.
As a Master of Business Management and Master of Project Management graduate, you’ll be strongly placed to step into a managerial career with advanced business knowledge and skills, and you’ll also be ready for effective project leadership, managing resources and changing expectations in team environments, to deliver successful project outcomes.
