Overview
The Graduate Certificate of Public Health builds knowledge of key principles in public health. This course will develop practical epidemiological and data analysis skills, as well as the capacity to apply them in public health contexts. Alongside core studies, there will be the opportunity to explore the impact of clinical and other research methodologies, as well as public health challenges.

You must complete the following four units:
- MPH5305 Epidemiology: concepts and applications
- MPH5320 Research methods in healthcare
- MPH5302 Biostatistics: concepts and applications
- MPH5313 Foundations of public health

Upon successful completion of this course it is expected that you will be able to:

Entry requirements
English language
Monash Level A that is: IELTS (Academic): 6.5 overall (no band lower than 6.0); or Pearson Test of English (Academic): score of 58 overall with no band lower than 50; or TOEFL Internet-based test: score of 79 overall with minimum scores: Writing: 21, Listening: 12, Reading: 13 and Speaking: 18; or Equivalent approved English test

If you successfully complete the Graduate Certificate of Public Health (M4032) you may be eligible for admission at entry point 2 of the Master of Public Health (M6021).
