To be successful in this unit, background knowledge and application of maths is required at the equivalent of VCE Year 12 level.  You may have satisfied this by completing relevant prerequisite unit/s, or you have covered relevant topics in your final years of secondary study.  You should self-assess your maths competency prior to enrolling in this unit.

Overview

This unit centres on both a conceptual and practical approach to international accounting issues with emphasis on international standard setting and compliance as viewed by regulatory and private sector preparers of accounts. You will gain a practical understanding of these issues in an international context through the overseas visitation program which forms an integral part of this unit.
