Synopsis
In this unit you will examine the fundamentals of quantitative capabilities and digital literacies required for academic study in your degree courses. The ability to source, evaluate, interpret and represent data using digital resources and toolsets is important in both academic and professional contexts. You will explore these capabilities through discussion and practice and engage with a variety of discipline specific resources to extend your understanding of key quantitative concepts and develop fundamental digital literacy skills. You will develop skills to collect, validate, evaluate, analyse and communicate quantitative information and data using digital toolsets where appropriate, with a focus on developing skills in analysis and visual representation of data in discipline-specific contexts.
