Enrolment rules
- This unit is only available to students enrolled in a Masters degree from the Faculty of Arts or the Graduate Diploma of Arts Research.
- Students enrolled in A6028 Master of Public Policy and A6037 Master of Public Policy (Double Masters with O.P Jindal Global University) must have a minimum WAM of 70 in their current course enrollment and approval from their Course Director.
- All other students must have a minimum WAM of 80 in their current Arts course enrollment, approval from their Course Director, and be concurrently enrolled in APG5849 Research Thesis A.

Overview
This unit provides you with advanced skills in the design of research projects in the social sciences. The unit explores the core issues involved in conducting social science research and examines a variety of research methodologies and methods. Its focus on the process of research design allows you to develop skills in writing detailed research proposals for their own research topics.
