Overview

In the Family Violence Prevention Practicum you select an issue or topic and examine the response of current policy, practice and programs. As one of the final units in the Graduate Diploma of Family Violence Prevention, the Practicum gives you the opportunity to draw on the knowledge and experience gained from previous units and focus on one key issue or topic of interest. Evidence-informed policy and practice is crucial in the specialist family violence sector. The Practicum is designed to develop your understanding of the importance of research and evidence in this space. You will conduct in-depth research on your chosen topic to deliver a major project, supervised by the Unit Coordinator with input from specialists and experts in family violence from Monash University and external organisations as appropriate.
