Synopsis

In this unit, you will focus on ethical issues that arise in relation to human genomics. You will examine issues that arise in the integration of genome sequencing into medicine, as well as new and emerging technologies such as mitochondrial genomics and genome editing. You will consider and discuss topics including  consent, data re-use, privacy, reproductive autonomy, personalised medicine and human enhancement.
