Overview

This unit explores trends, theory and practice in the sustainable development and management of cultural and special events product. Unit content examines the identification and interpretation of cultural phenomena, institutions, places and landscapes as tourism attractions and the design of strategic special events in sustainable destination planning. Students engage with living examples of cultural and events tourism product through local field work and industry engagement.
