Synopsis
In this unit you will focus on healthy communities in global perspective. You will analyse the governance of health in international and national agencies, including the UN's Sustainable Development Goals (maternal and child health) and engagements with diverse communities and cultures. You will explore a range of topics, including gendered and other inequities, economic inequities, pandemics, vaccines and the development of inclusive healthcare. The unit will be of interest to undergraduate and graduate students in sociology, anthropology, health humanities, public policy, public health, health promotion, international development and international relations.
