Overview
There are various approaches to conducting research in the field of applied linguistics. Understanding them is critical for choosing the one that best fits your research interest. In this way, you can maximize your own research outcomes as well as properly interpret procedures and results of existing studies. In this unit, you will acquire the knowledge and skills to shape research projects in applied linguistics. This includes how to develop research questions and choose datasets and data collection methodologies, as well as quantitative/qualitative approaches to analyse the data. You will also apply your insights to case studies and work on research projects.
