It equips students with skills to identify, generate and contribute to debates about the practices surrounding culture, the conceptual, political and practical purposes it serves and the values it generates for a variety of interests and contexts. The unit is formulated to be responsive to live debates and directions of current work and issues in the field, exploring current scholarly agendas to nurture an inter-disciplinary research community through a workshop-based pedagogy.
