Synopsis
In this unit, you will focus on ethical issues that arise in relation to human reproduction. You will examine ethical and social issues that arise around procreation and population, reproductive biomedicine, and parenting. You will consider and discuss topics including whether it is ethical to have children, population and restrictions on procreation, ethical and social aspects of medically assisted reproduction, genetic parenthood and adoption, the parent-child relationship, and children’s rights.
