Overview
Core unit of the Master in Interpreting and Translation Studies (MITS). This unit presents an overview of the development of the T&I industry in Australia. You will analyse and compare various international codes of ethics, with focus on the direct application of the AUSIT Code of Ethics in Australia. You will be exposed to a number of ‘real-life’ ethical challenges via online situated learning tasks, with the aim of preparing them to work in various 21st century (face-to-face, digital and remote) translation and interpreting situations.
