Enrolment rules
Prohibition: Incompatible with APG5856, ATI5856 and ATI5849.
Corequisite: This unit is only available to students enrolled in a Masters degree from the Faculty of Arts or the Graduate Diploma of Arts Research.
Students must be concurrently enrolled in APG5084 Designing research.
Prerequisite: A minimum WAM of of 80 (High Distinction) in currently enrolled course; and approval from Course Coordinator.
Overview
Under the supervision of suitable academic staff, you will conduct independent research on an appropriate topic. This research process continues in APG5850 Graduate research thesis B, as a part of which you will submit your research thesis.

Prior to the start of semester, you are required to meet with their Program Director to discuss an appropriate supervisor for you research. You then meet with your supervisor on a regular basis during your enrolment in APG5849 and APG5850, to plan, conduct and write up your thesis.
