Overview

This unit is about strategy in promoting and influencing public policy. Students will learn about policy agenda-setting and policy networks activation in promoting or influencing public policy. The unit will cover the importance of agenda-setting and advocacy in public policy, political events and public opinion, advocacy goals and agenda building strategy, message development, communication channel and audience engagement strategy, policy network activation, and relationship management. The focus will be on understanding the advocacy strategy in which public policies are designed, promoted, and influenced.
