Special issues in public policy
ATI5021
Synopsis
In this unit, you will engage with critical and current issues in public policy. Focusing on a special topic of key policy interest confronting international, national and local communities, you will explore how contemporary public policy must address issues that are often large in scale and increasingly interconnected with other complex factors. By analysing a specific policy issue and its challenges, you will develop the skills required to address significant policy issues and will be encouraged to extend your ability to think critically about public policy issues and the policy responses applied to them. Learning in this unit will support students to broaden and deepen their understanding of contemporary public policy and its practice.
