Intercultural theatre and performance
ATS1070
Synopsis
In this unit, you will investigate how performances of identities, cultures and places help us understand relationships across intercultural contexts. We will explore dynamics central to intercultural theatre and performance including indigenous knowledges and identities, intersectionality and power, and place and time. You will learn by doing--creating performances that explore these dynamics in context. And you will collaborate with others to explore how we as social actors both negotiate and challenge intercultural dynamics through the arts.
