Synopsis
In this unit you will explore a number of fundamental conceptual and practical issues in Chinese translation studies. You will develop your intercultural and inter-lingual communication skills through various translation projects and critical reading of a range of different representations of Chinese translation works. You will discuss some common conceptual and practical issues of translation in small group discussion, and apply the key translation skills you learn in the classroom to translation practice through integrated classroom teaching and translation projects.
