This unit is only available to students enrolled in a Bachelor of Music single or double degree - Music performance specialisation.

Overview

In this unit, you will develop intermediate level music performance skills through the preparation and presentation of performance materials such as technical work, studies, solo and collaborative repertoire suitable for second year tertiary level. You will also develop creative skills and critical reflection through this unit.

    Demonstrate an intermediate level of instrumental/vocal technique, including control of rhythm, articulation, accuracy, timbre, dynamics and intonation (where applicable)

    Prepare and present performance materials such as technical requirements, studies, solo repertoire and/or collaborative repertoire that increase technical and creative skills development suitable for second year tertiary level;

    Demonstrate command of an intermediate level of musicianship and/or creativity, including appropriate artistic expression, improvisation and/or technology as appropriate;

    Engage in critical reflection of your creative practice.
