Synopsis

Drawing on perspectives from Politics, Philosophy and Economics, this interdisciplinary unit will introduce you to contemporary policy challenges and the formulation and evaluation of statistical and data-driven evidence and practical policy responses to those challenges stemming from such data presented. You will learn decision-making tools for public choice including considerations of economic efficiency, justice and fairness, and the political feasibility of policy implementation and evaluation. You will apply these tools in the role of policy-maker facing the practical opportunities and constraints of real-world policy challenges.
