Synopsis
In this unit, you will explore the reporting techniques, production practices, resources, technologies and genres of digital storytelling, including video, audio, graphic and interactive formats. You will examine the research capacities and information sources available through the internet, most notably via social media channels. You will analyse the implications for journalists of different modes of audience engagement and editorial positioning, through the development of exciting digital storytelling practices. You will consider news, social media investigative practices, data journalism and interactive multimedia packages.
