In this unit you will explores the political, social, and cultural history of Renaissance Florence through examination of the city’s urban, artistic, and political spaces. You will be invited to understand the city’s evolution from the late thirteenth to the early sixteenth centuries through written, visual, and material sources with a particular focus on its Renaissance golden age.
