Gender and international relations

ATS3024

Synopsis

In this unit you will examine the history, evolution, and application of different strands of feminist theory in the study of International Relations. You will use gender as an analytic framework and gender analysis as a method for exploring International Relations while considering how other forms of power (e.g. race, sexuality, & class) manifest and intersect with gender. While we examine conflict, violence and security issues, we will also look at other global dynamics, including diplomacy, peace negotiations and political economy.
