In this unit, you will examine the social dynamics of the Australian population. You will explore the key population concepts and tools and components of population change, and substantive issues including population ageing, patterns in and explanations for partnering and childbearing in Australia, and immigration, integration and social cohesion. You will also address population questions in-depth by using unit record data from the most recent Australian census.
