Video game music presents composers with creative and technical challenges, requiring musically innovative solutions. You will explore the composition and function of video game music, including interactivity, indeterminacy and the relationship between music and visual narratives. By investigating the relationship between historical, sociocultural, technical and musical contexts, you will be equipped to make meaningful creative decisions of your own, participating in video game music cultural from multiple perspectives.
