Synopsis
This unit provides an in-depth introduction to quantitative research methods which are foundational to business research. The methodological knowledge and skills developed from this unit will enable you to undertake an independent research project, which involves quantitative inquiry. Using real-life data sets, selected statistical tools and data visualisation packages, this unit prepares you to critically analyse and interpret evidence, construct reasoned arguments, and communicate data-driven solutions in solving business problems. Topics of this unit include survey studies/correlational field studies; forms of regression; analysis of variances; discriminant analysis; factor analysis; non-parametric statistics.
