This unit offers a critical approach to scenario planning in uncertain macroeconomic and business environments. What is uncertainty and how is it measured? How to approach and manage businesses by developing and relying on scenario planning? What are the main long-term macroeconomic trends that affect business operations? How do disruptions influence businesses?

It will enhance students' knowledge and understanding of major trends (climate change, advent of robotics, secular stagnation, structurally low interest rates and inflation, globalisation and deglobalisation, changes in consumer preferences) and how businesses and financial intermediaries can adapt and thrive in these scenarios.
