BEX3195
Synopsis
What fuels the growth of frontier technologies addressing climate change, global health crises, and geopolitical security risks? How do science- and technology-based ventures scale, and what makes them defensible in competitive markets?
In this unit, you will explore the innovation economy through the lens of high-potential, deep technology startups. You will gain insight into how cutting-edge ventures are built, financed, and introduced to the market by combining scientific discovery with entrepreneurial strategy.
You will learn how to assess market opportunities, evaluate innovation viability, and develop strategic plans for early-stage ventures. Guided by experienced entrepreneurs and investors, you will apply these tools through a hands-on consulting project with real startups from the Creative Destruction Lab ecosystem.
By the end of the unit, you will be prepared to think critically, communicate effectively, and contribute meaningfully to the growth of science-based ventures that address some of the world’s most pressing challenges.
