Synopsis

This unit provides an introduction to accounting and finance terminology, concepts and techniques for leading in organisations. Taking a users’ perspective this unit will focus on the interpretation of financial statements, basic financial and non-financial analysis, working capital management, cost and performance measurement, budgeting, and time value of money. The unit will be set in both the local and global context to ensure an understanding of decision making and value creation across diverse business environment.
