Overview

This unit is the research project component of the Master of Bioinformatics. You will undertake a supervised bioinformatics research project involving research of a publishable standard which forms the basis of a thesis presented at the end of the project period. You will apply the skills developed in the Masters program and undertake further training in advanced bioinformatics analysis of complex biological data sets.

Learning outcomes

When you finish this unit, you should be able to:

    Demonstrate ethical, professional and personal responsibility in undertaking a research project.

Workload and teaching

An average of 48 hours per week (including bioinformatic data analysis, reading of relevant scientific literature and preparation for assessments).
