Enrolment rules
Pre-requisites: BRM5011, BRM5014, GEN5010, BRM5012, BRM5015, BRM5013, BMS5007 and one of the following units: BEX5114, BEX5120, BEX5411 or BEX5413.
In order to be eligible for the research project, you need to have an average of at least 70% in your core biotechnology studies (Part A) and a successful research project application.
Corequisites: Master of Biotechnology students only (M6030)
Overview
The unit covers theoretical and methodological aspects of research, develop analytic, research and communication skills, as well as provide students with advanced knowledge in biotechnology/ biotechnology-related research.
You will undertake a supervised research project of a publishable standard that aims to provide training in both discipline specific and generic research skills and form the basis of a research thesis presented at the end of the year.
