analyse the nature and purpose of documents used in international trade including contracts of sale, shipping documentation, invoices, insurance policies, bills of exchange and letters of credit

solving legal problems in international trade in relation to jurisdictional and conflict of laws issues

applying relevant laws relating to international contracts of sale, international carriage of goods, international finance and marine insurance in international trade disputes.

Minimum total expected workload to achieve the learning outcomes for this unit is 144 hours per semester typically comprising a mixture of scheduled learning activities and independent study.
