Learning outcomes

When you finish this unit, you should be able to:

    demonstrate understanding of the legal risks, compliance and social responsibility obligations faced by business enterprises arising from global environmental and sustainability challenges

  2. 2

    identify and utilise a range of common regulatory frameworks for addressing the environmental, sustainability and social responsibilities of business at international, national and local levels

  3. 3

    participate in individual and team-based analysis of case studies exploring the role of various government and non-government actors facing environmental and sustainability challenges.

First semester
Minimum total expected workload to achieve the learning outcomes for this unit is 144 hours per semester typically comprising a mixture of scheduled learning activities and independent study. Independent study may include associated readings, assessment and preparation for scheduled activities. The unit requires on average three/four hours of scheduled activities per week. Scheduled activities may include a combination of teacher directed learning, peer directed learning and online engagement.
