Synopsis
This unit is designed to provide a deep understanding of urban mobility, fundamental principles and challenges, including sustainable mobility, intelligent transportation systems (ITS), and data-driven approaches. You will gain a comprehensive understanding of the concept of digital twins, their architecture, and the various data sources contributing to their creation and operation. The course emphasises practical implementation to design, develop, validate and optimise practical mobility solutions using digital twins to address specific urban mobility challenges like traffic congestion, energy efficiency, and accessibility.
