PREREQUISITE: Completion of 24 credit points at Level 5 towards the MSc or by permission of the course coordinator.

Overview

You will study two to four topics in earth sciences, chosen from a range of specialist subjects. These include specialist units taught by the School of Earth, Atmosphere and Environment and modules offered by the Victorian Institute of Earth and Planetary Sciences (VIEPS). 

Through your study of these topics, you will develop an advanced understanding of the discipline and acquire the skills to operate professionally in the area.

Approximately 6 hours of on-campus classes per week, plus 18 hours of self-directed activities including readings and videos in preparation for class, weekly exercises, assignments, study and revision.
