Overview
This unit exposes students to different techniques that allow us to provide answers to questions of the type “Does [policy X] cause [outcome Y]?” Emphasis is placed on the appropriate definition of counterfactual outcomes (building on the Rubin Causal Model) and on the discussion of the credibility of different designs that aim at constructing a counterfactual [i.e. outcome Y in the absence of policy X].
