Synopsis
This unit involves you in the exploration of contemporary theories informing understandings of children’s holistic learning and development. You will develop a comprehensive understanding of various theoretical perspectives and apply and evaluate their use in practice. You will demonstrate the importance of using theory in ways that are responsive to children’s interests, and their unique learning and developmental trajectories. The unit builds your understanding of new and emerging research on child development and learning, emphasising the significance of integrating theory and practice nexus to create, implement and deliver high-quality teaching programs and pedagogical approaches.
