Fostering classroom culture

This unit will provide you with a critical overview of approaches to support positive classroom cultures that facilitate learning and engagement of all students. Across the unit, you will examine different theories and strategies to support classroom management and be encouraged to reflectively critique your own beliefs and experiences of challenging behaviour. You will also consider different communication strategies and how these can be adapted to support the needs of diverse learners. Additionally, the unit will consider how you can create learning environments and opportunities that are supportive and challenging for a diverse range of students, including a focus on strategies to connect effectively with disengaged students.
